My boyfriend was a regular customer at the Minute Mart. In the mornings, he'd purchase food/drinks and his employer would pick him up. Then once the work day ended, he'd return to the Minute Mart to wait for his ride to pick him up and take him back home. A couple weeks ago, he was sitting outside the store eating the bag of peanuts he'd just purchased inside waiting on his dad to arrive, and the owner demanded that he get off of the property immediately and threatened to call the cops on him for loitering, completely disregarding the fact that this was a regular customer and he didn't exactly have anywhere he could go considering being picked up there had been an arrangement that had been going on for weeks. I believe this was an instance of profiling. After a day of concrete work, one becomes incredibly dirty. That combined with his dreaded hair leave me to believe that the store owner thought he was homeless and didn't want to "tarnish" his gas station's reputation (which after seeing the reviews on here, was never spectacular to begin with). Basically, don't even bother with this gas station unless you're rich and white, otherwise they won't welcome you, but rather try and get the police to handle you. I've never ran a gas station, however, even I know that threatening to call the cops on your regular customers simply for sitting outside and eating a snack that they had just purchased inside is the antithesis of customer service and as far from "professional" as one can get. I don't recommend this Minute Mart at all; your money is better spent elsewhere where it won't support corrupt bigots like these.
This "buddy perry" who gave mini mart a 5 star review is actually the owner of the store so I'd take his opinion with a grain of salt. This store is absolutely terrible, everything is marked up to ridiculous amounts. The sign says cheap cigarette prices but they honestly have some of the most expensive cigarette prices in town. Everything in the "back room" is nice but it all so ridiculously expensive so why even bother. Honestly the break time right down the road is so much better and even Rick's C Store across the damn is worth the drive to avoid this toxic little store
This gas station is HORRIBLE. Yesterday, not only did the Store's cashier, but it's owner, acted in the most UNPROFESSIONAL MANNER. DO NOT GO TO THIS GAS STATION. The owner is rude and encourages rudeness in her staff. Both the owner and cashier, openly used profane language, were unapologetic about how I was treated, and exhibited a disregard for good business sense.
